Year 3 2023 - 2024

Welcome to Year 3!

We are so excited to welcome children and carers back to Plymouth Grove after the school holidays.

This year our Year 3 class teachers are Miss Thompson and Mrs Butler (3BT) and Mrs Abbas (3A).

We are a rights respecting school. All children have the right to learn (Article 28), and we will be doing lots of amazing learning together this year. For more details, please have a look through the curriculum information on our website.

We use Seesaw for parent communication. Please speak to your child’s teacher or the main school office if you are having difficulty connecting to our Seesaw class.

Things to remember

• Homework: This is set on Seesaw every Thursday. Children have a week to complete a maths and an English task.
• Spellings: Spellings are tested and new spellings are given out every Friday
• Reading: Children have an Accelerated Reader book. This should be read at home every day for 20-30 minutes so that children are ready to take their quizzes in school. Some children will also have a CAPER book that they can read at home.
• PE: Our PE day is on a Wednesday. Please make sure that children come to school in their PE kit.
